Geoffrey Brewer is the Editorial Director of Gallup Press, which publishes books and the Gallup Management Journal. He is the editor of the New York Times bestsellers 12: The Elements of Great Managing and How Full Is Your Bucket?, which reached #1 on the business list. He also edited the #1 Wall Street Journal and #1 BusinessWeek bestseller StrengthsFinder 2.0 and Strengths Based Leadership, a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller. He coedited The Best of the Gallup Management Journal 2001-2007.
Brewer brings more than two decades of publishing experience to Gallup Press. Most recently, he was editor-in-chief of Sales & Marketing Management, a strategy publication for senior executives, and a contributing writer on management for The New York Times. In 1994, Brewer launched Performance, a management quarterly. He was also a senior editor for Incentive Magazine, a marketing publication, and managing editor of Meeting News, a business-travel magazine.
Brewer is a seven-time recipient of the Jesse H. Neal Editorial Achievement Award from American Business Media. While he was editor-in-chief of Sales & Marketing Management, the magazine garnered a Folio: Magazine Award for Editorial Excellence. He has been a frequent speaker on the topics of management, sales, and marketing. From 1996 to 1998, he was a guest lecturer on management topics at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at New York University.
Brewer received a bachelor's degree in English from Oberlin College. He is based at Gallup's New York City office. Brewer lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife, Regan Solmo, and their son, Henry.
