Larry Emond

Executive Publisher

Larry Emond is Chief Marketing Officer for The Gallup Organization as well as a member of its Executive Committee. In these roles, his responsibilities include directing Gallup's marketing strategy and communications and developing Gallup's broad range of measurement, training, and consulting services.

Emond also serves as Executive Publisher of Gallup Press. He directs Gallup's publishing endeavors, including books and the Gallup Management Journal (http://gmj.gallup.com). Under his leadership, Gallup has authored groundbreaking management books, including the bestsellers How Full Is Your Bucket?, First, Break All the Rules, and Now, Discover Your Strengths.

Emond assumed his position as Chief Marketing Officer in 1996. Prior to that, he spent five years in Tokyo, where he was cofounder and vice president of Gallup Japan. While in Tokyo, he led a broad range of consulting engagements. These projects included brand strategy, customer loyalty management, workplace quality management, and leadership development programs, as well as employee selection and development systems. In addition to his activities in Japan, he assisted in developing Gallup's operations throughout Asia.

Emond received his bachelor's degree in international commerce, Asian studies, and Japanese language from San Diego State University. He is based at Gallup's Irvine, California, office.
