Common hurdles you may face in the quest to capitalize on your strengths

What are some of the obstacles you may face in capitalizing on your strengths at work? These three topics raised by participants at Gallup's leadership seminars are barriers they have met when looking for ways to play to their strengths at work or in other areas of their lives.
Steve Crabtree has developed and produced publications for The Gallup Organization since joining the company in 1993. He contributed to writing Building Engaged Schools, Gallup's book on education reform. Crabtree currently leads the production of published material for the Gallup World Poll, a groundbreaking worldwide survey launched in 2006. He is also a contributing writer to the Gallup Management Journal.
