“I think the last time I had a land line, it was in my dorm room in college." So says at least one 24-year old. Is he representative of a growing trend in phone usage? New research by The Gallup Panel reveals the answer to this and other questions.

In the area where I live, the communications solution with the highest reliability and quality is the least expensive solution that leaves the best impression during the call. For people who choose not to take/make a call at all times, not be rude, not be distracted, not be misunderstood and not deal with dying batteries, the land line seems like a good value here.

A very insightful article. I would tend to agree with you, however I think "babyboomers" who are "technosavy" are also switching to the service or combination of services in droves which will serve them best in the long haul.
