What Generation Gap?

Job seekers from different generations often look for the same things from prospective employers, according to recent Gallup research

Contrary to conventional wisdom, job seekers from different generations -- Baby Boomers and members of Generations X and Y -- often look for the same things from prospective employers, according to recent Gallup research.

There is no Generation Y. It's only called Gen Y because social commentators labeled the preceding generation Gen X to denote its lack of identity. Now a new generation's identity is based on the lack of identity of the generation before it? What's next, Gen Z? Then we start over at A, or go to the Greek alphabet? How about using hurricane designations? Gen Thelma, Gen Gregory. It's ridiculous on its face. Shame on you.

You probably guessed I'm a member of "Generation Y." Gen Y: Why? Because editors are lazy and herd-minded.
