Brian J. Brim, Ed.D., is a Principal of Global Client Education and a Strategic Consultant with Gallup. Since 1989, Brim has played a major role in leading Gallup's growth by creating and implementing integrated education platforms for Gallup's clients. These offerings have served employees at all organizational levels, from top leadership and management to the front line.
During Brim's tenure, Gallup University has created innovative development programs based on Gallup's cutting-edge research in strengths-based selection and development, employee engagement and customer engagement, and HumanSigma. These include the Great Manager Program, Gallup University's flagship manager development offering, Demands of Leadership, Strengths-Based Selling and Strengths-Based Sales Management, and Gallup's latest program for deploying strengths development throughout an organization, Strengths Every Day.
In addition to his work building world-class education platforms for clients, Brim has worked as a consultant, speaker, and trusted adviser to many leading international businesses. His insights have helped Gallup clients increase the effectiveness of their selection and onboarding processes as well as their performance management and succession planning systems. His goal is to help executives and managers develop engaged, productive employees who in turn develop highly engaged customer relationships that ultimately drive the company's vitality and financial health.
Brim received his bachelor's degree in speech communication and master's degree in educational psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his doctorate in organizational leadership through Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He regularly contributes articles about using a strengths-based management approach to drive engagement and improve performance to the Gallup Management Journal. Two of his articles were published in the The Best of the Gallup Management Journal 2001-2007 (Gallup Press, 2007).Brim resides in Omaha with his wife, Kimberly, and their two daughters, Chloe and Jerri.
